Fall Soup Party

AutumnEvery year we host a Fall Soup Party for our closest friends. We schedule the party for mid-October when the weather starts to get brisk. I decorate the house with pumpkins and hay bales and my husband and I cook all day and provide three or four yummy soups and some hearty bread for the crew. We top off the evening with a backyard bonfire. The event has generated some fond memories and everyone looks forward to the good food and good friends get-together.

Karen B. says:

We host a chili cook-off each fall at our house. We get a wide variety of creative entries... white chicken chili, turkey chili, veggie chili, venison chili, cajun-style chili, redneck chili and many more. It's a great excuse to get together with friends and eat until we're stuffed.
